Biography: Zhiwu Han, professor and doctoral supervisor, is currently the director of Key Laboratory of Bionic Engineering (Ministry of Education) of Jilin University. Winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Distinguished Professor of the Major Talent Project of the Ministry of Education, and Head of the Innovation Research Group of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He mainly engaged in the research of mechanical bionics, bionic perception theory and technology, bionic functional surface and advanced biomimetic composites.

Prof. Yu Tian
Tsinghua University, China
Biography: Yu Tian is Professor and Director of the State Key Laboratory of Tribology at Tsinghua University of China. He gained his BA and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Tsinghua University in 1998 and 2002, respectively. Subsequently he joined the State Key Laboratory of Tribology. He was a postdoc at the University of California, Santa Barbara with Professor Jacob Israelachvili from 2005 to 2007. His research interest is the science and technology at the interface of physics, materials, engineering, and biology to understand the physical laws of adhesion, friction, and rheology to implement technological inventions to benefit the society. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed journal papers. He has received the Ten Thousand People Leading Plan Innovation Leading Talents of China (2019), the Youth Science and Technology Award of China (2016), the Yangtze River Scholars Distinguished Professor (2015-2019), the National Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scientists of China (2014), the Wen Shizhu-Maple Award-Young Scholar Award (2012), the Young Scholar Achievement Award of the Society of Mechanical Engineering of China (2011), Outstanding Young Scholar Award of the Chinese Tribology Institute (2009), and the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of China (2004).

Prof. Giuseppe Carbone

Biography: Giuseppe Carbone is Professor at DIMEG, University of Calabria, since 2018. Since 2020 he is Chair of the IFToMM TC on Robotics and Mechatronics. He has got the Master and Ph.D. degree at University of Cassino (Italy) where he has been a Key Member of LARM (Laboratory of Robotics and Mechatronics) for about 20 years. He has carried out several periods of study and research abroad in Germany, Japan, China, South Korea, Brazil, Spain, UK, France, also delivering regular teaching courses in Spain and UK. The duties of his academicposition include supervising or co- supervising students at bachelor, master and PhD thesis level including the supervision of several visiting scholars/researchers/professors from foreign countries. His research interests cover aspects of Robotics, Mechatronics, Engineering design, mechanics of Manipulation and Grasp, Mechanics of Machinery with over 300 research paper outputs, 20 patents, and 16 Phd students completions. He has been also member of 18 PhD evaluation Commissions and viva in Italy, Spain, Finland, UK, Romania, Mexico. He has been invited to deliver invited Keynote speeches and seminars on his research activity at more than 30 International events. He has been principal Investigator (PI) or co-PI of more than 20 projects including 7th European Framework and H2020 funds. He edited/co-edited four books that have been published by Springer and Elsevier International Publishers. He serves in the editorial board of several international journals, including being Editor in Chief of ROBOTICA (Cambridge Univ. Press), Section Editor in Chief of Journal of Bionic Engineering (Springer), MDPI Machines, MDPI Robotics, Technical Editor of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, AE of ASME Journal of Autonomous Vehicles and Systems, Advanced Robotic Systems.

He has published a total of more than 150 academic papers in important academic journals and international conferences at home and abroad, among which there are more than 40 SCI papers published in international journals. Biography: Linsen Xu, Ph.D., Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. He is the deputy director of the Institute of Special Robotics of Hohai University, the expert of the theme group of the National Defense Science and Technology Innovation Special Zone, the member of the ground machine system branch of the Chinese Agricultural Machinery Society, the member of the International Society of Bionic Engineering, the member of the expert committee of the Chinese Service Robot and Special Robot Industry Alliance, the deputy director of the robotics committee of the Jiangsu Artificial Intelligence Society, the executive director of the Jiangsu Rehabilitation Medicine Specialty Union, and the training object of high-level talents of Jiangsu Province. Prof. Hesheng Wang

Biography: Hesheng Wang received the Ph.D. degree in Automation & Computer-Aided Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Currently, he is a Professor of Department of Automation, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He has published more than 200 papers in refereed journals and conferences. He is an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Automation Science Engineering, IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters, Assembly Automation and International Journal of Humanoid Robotics, a Technical Editor of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics. He served as an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Robotics from 2015 to 2019. He was the general chair of IEEE RCAR2016 and IEEE ROBIO2022, and program chair of IEEE AIM2019 and IEEE ROBIO2014. He was a recipient of Shanghai Rising Star Award in 2014, The National Science Fund for Outstanding Young Scholars in 2017 and Shanghai Shuguang Scholar in 2019. He is a Senior Member of IEEE. He will be the General Chair of IEEE/RSJ IROS2025.

Prof. Gang Shen

Biography: Prof. Shen has been engaged in the research of electro-hydraulic parallel mechanism and its control for a long time. He has made significant progress in performance detection technology based on electro-hydraulic parallel drive mechanism, intelligent control technology based on electro-hydraulic system for large-tonnage special lifting equipment, and intelligent monitoring technology for underwater missile vertical launching barrel cover system driven by electro-hydraulic parallel system. Prof. Shen presided over a Key Joint Foundation Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a National Key Research and Development Program of China, Excellent Youth Foundation of Jiangsu Scientific Committee, a General Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, a Joint Foundation Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, an Equipment Pre-Research Joint Fund Project of the Ministry of Education. At the same time, he presided over 17 research projects related to national defense electromechanical equipment with a research fund of more than 14 million. In recent years, Prof. Shen has published 11 SCI papers and 2 Chinese EI journal papers as first or corresponding author. Prof. Shen has 4 foreign invention patents in the United States, Australia, Canada and Russia and 10 Chinese invention patents as the first inventor. He has won the 18th Fok Ying-Tong Education Foundation Youth Science Award for Colleges and Universities and the National Coal Youth Science and Technology Award. Prof. Shen was selected as a second-level young and middle-aged leading talent in the "333 High-level Talent Project" in Jiangsu Province, and he is an academic leader and outstanding young teacher in the "Qinglan Project" in Jiangsu Province.

Biography: Zhuming Bi is a Tenured Professor at the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Purdue University Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne, USA. Currently, he is a Senior Member of IEEE, and a Technical Committee member of IEEE Distributed Intelligent Systems (IEEE-SMC) and TC8-WG 8.9 for Enterprise Information Systems for International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP); he was the Chair of IEEE Fort Wayne Section and the President of Sigma Xi Fort Wayne Chapter in past years. Zhuming Bi was the awardee of 2018 IEEE Region 4 Outstanding Professional Award, 2017 Outstanding Researcher, 2016-2017 Research Excellence in Researches and Endeavors at PFW.
Zhuming Bi got the Bachelor degree from Harbin University of Science and Technology in 1987, a Master degree and Ph.D. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 1991 and 1994, respectively. He got the second Ph.D. degree from University of Saskatchewan in Canada in 2002. Zhuming Bi has rich international research experience. He worked at a Research Scientist at City University of Hong Kong in 1997, Nanyang University of Technology in 2001, Simon Fraser University in 2002, National Research Council of Canada, (2002-2007), and he worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Queen’s University Belfast in UK (2008) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in USA (2017). Zhuming Bi is specialized in Intelligent Manufacturing, reconfigurable systems, modular robotics, enterprise systems, mechatronics and robotics. He has published four books, over 200 research articles with over 150 articles in leading international journals. Zhuming Bi is passionate for professional services; he is an associate editor or a member of editorial team for 9 professional journal including IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, Machines, Actuators, and Industrial Robot, he reviews around 100 papers for around 20 publishers annually.

Prof. Xinyu Li

Biography: Xinyu Li is a Professor in the Department of Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering, State Key Laboratory of Digital Manufacturing Equipment & Technology, School of Mechanical Science & Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is the secretary general of the Industrial Big Data and Intelligent Systems Chapter of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society.
His research interests include intelligent manufacturing systems, shop scheduling, intelligent optimization and deep learning. He has been funded by more than 10 national projects, including 4 NSFC projects. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers. He also won the First Prize for Natural Sciences of the Ministry of Education.

Prof. Zhenguo Nie

Biography: Dr. Zhenguo Nie is currently an assistant professor and master supervisor working in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tsinghua University, and was full-time postdoctoral fellow in the United States (Carnegie Mellon University and Georgia Institute of Technology). His research fields are medical-engineering intersection, surgical robots and rehabilitation robots, intelligent design and manufacturing, etc. Currently presided the general project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, JKW166 project, and proof-of-concept project of Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission Open Laboratory. He has participated in National Natural Science Foundation of China, National 973, 04 Major Projects, American Natural Science Foundation of China More than ten projects of the Science Foundation and the Boeing Company of the United States. He has published more than 30 academic papers, with a total of more than 500 citations, and obtained more than 20 invention patents. In addition, he is also a member of the China Committee of the International Federation of Institutions and Machine Science (IFToMM), a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), a senior member of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, and a member of the Chinese Society of Mechanics.

Prof. Ting Zhang

Biography: Prof. Ting Zhang received a Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering under the supervision of Prof. Hong Liu, a Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2014. Since 2015 to 2018, he is receiving postdoctoral training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Since November 2018, he is a Professor in the Robotics and Microsystems Center, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Soochow University, China. He has published more than 20 SCI-indexed journal papers in mechatronics and robotic fields as the first author or corresponding author, including TMECH, TNSRE, IEEE RAM. There have two papers been selected as the journal cover. The applicant has been granted 10 more national invention patents and 1 US patent. The applicant has won Distinguished Professor of Jiangsu province, innovative and entrepreneurial talent of Jiangsu province, NSF-Innovation Corps Program, and IEEE best student conference paper award.
